Volunteer Signups Updates

Here’s the complete list of Volunteer sign up forms for the ENTIRE season. We are hoping this will help accommodate people’s schedules with being able to plan into the months ahead and make volunteering more accessible.

Duties for each position are included in the signup, but here is a summary:

  • Bus chaperone: 2 per bus, you ride the bus to/from away events, monitor students on the bus and in the stands/stadium, escort students to/from restrooms, assist with props/instruments as needed before, during, after the performance

  • Medical Chaperone: this volunteer MUST be a licensed professional in a medical field, i.e. doctor, nurse, EMT, etc. as they provide medical attention to students as needed, encouraged to ride the bus in case medical attention is needed during transport but not mandatory, may be asked to assist with props/equipment in rare situations

  • Support Crew: Different from past years for AWAY games…call time is 4pm for away games as you will load the semi and box trucks with props, equipment and assist with some instruments, home games call time is 5pm, there are various duties from moving equipment/props to/from field (if you are unable to lift or move much weight this may not be the best option for you, but email me and I will try to put you on a lighter job)

  • Uniforms: call time 15 min BEFORE students (done once buses leave or band marches to field), assist the Uniform Lead in helping students with uniforms and issues, pull racks into hall if needed, load cart and totes onto semi for away games, distribute plumes before home performance, best if you have some familiarity with the uniform room already

  • Fundraising: (home games only) a few different opportunities; 1. pickup and dropoff off bakery items, i.e. Crumb or Krispy Kreme, before the game. 2. Bakery sales - during the game sell bakery items at a table through an app on your phone (Cindy May will instruct). 3. 50/50 raffle sales - walk around the stands and stadium grounds selling raffle tickets (Lori May will instruct), best part - you’re done by half time!!

  • Concessions: there are so many different opportunities this signup will be sent out in its own email so please keep your eyes open for that in the next week. Best thing about concessions tho…you stay inside nice and warm and dry!
